The element of surprise is key when going after unknown prey or adding a little oomph to your love life. So why not try something different this Valentine's day like this blood orange martini and chocolate dipped blood oranges, inspired by Vosges' spicing of chocolate. You can also add some orange extract to the chocolate.
This video makes the perfect Valentine to share with someone.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Shoe review: Red patent Valentino's. Sweet!

Blood Orange Martinis
- 4 ounces vodka
- 3/4 ounce Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
- 2 ounces blood orange juice
- 2 blood orange slices
In a martini shaker combine all ingredients except the orange slices with a generous amount of ice. Shake vigorously for a few seconds. (I like to let it sit for a minute or so to water down a bit.) Strain into martini glasses. Garnish with the orange slices.

Chocolate Dipped Blood Oranges
- 6 oz. dark chocolate
- 2 blood oranges
- 1 tsp. ground cardomon
Peel and separate oranges into sections. Use Bain-marie to melt the chocolate. Just before all the chocolate is melted add cardomon and allow to infuse into the chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted, drop orange slices in and coat using a fork. Place chocolate coated orange slices on a large sheet of aluminum foil and place in refrigerator to harden.
Indulgently yours,

One hot Mama! Nice Martini. And dark chocolate is good for the body.
LOVE IT!
